Through iCloud one can keep a secure copy of documents, photos, contacts and any other important data in this cloud, making it easier to set-up a new iPhone, iPad, iPod etc. Another advantage of this service is the ability to have a way to secure your files in case your device gets stolen, do you imagine how frustrating it it will be to lose all your contacts, emails, photos etc? However, iCloud can be your worst enemy if you completely forget your password. Since this was created as a security measure for Apple users, there is truly no way to bypass an iCloud locked device unless you can retrieve your password. Make sure you keep your password in a safe place or you make sure to keep the security questions, back-up email, and phone number updated in case of an emergency situation. Also, it is not recommendable that you switch between iCloud’s accounts in one device, because then you won’t really be sure of what’s being backed-up to what account, and it can get real messy.

There are several ways you can access your iCloud account, this is how you can login using your personal device (iPhone, iPad, iPod etc), but keep in mind you can not login to iCloud without creating an account first.

  1. First, make sure your device is updated. In order to do this go to your Home Screen -> Click on Settings -> Software Update -> Once the update is completed, continue
  2. If you are setting up a new device you would have to activate iCloud and proceed with the on screen instructions using your Apple ID

  3. To Login from an already set-up device, simply go to your device’s Settings, scroll down to iCloud, enter your Apple ID/ iTunes account information and proceed to login.
